Our family's ranch on the Pine Ridge Reservation
Uŋčí (grandma) Linda is the 3rd generation in our family to live here on the ranch that her grandfather purchased after his allotment land was taken by the government while he was fighting in WWI.
Life here is not always easy - there's a lot of snow in the winter, and summers are often dry, but the land is beautiful, and the views are spectacular.
While we're about 60-90 minutes from most attractions in the Black Hills, there's quite a few other places to see and things to do nearby.
Hiking on the ranch is always an option, but we've got a list of other nearby attractions for you too.
Badlands National Park is just a few miles away, and Wind Cave National park is not far either.
Plus there are a number of national monuments and state parks.
